Many of you have requested another update on Kate. It gives me great joy to say that as far as we can tell, she is 100% recovered from Guillain-Barre. The pediatric neurologist we saw in Mobile following her discharge gave us a 6 week "wait-and-see" time period for a possible relapse, which would indicate either a recurring form of GBS or just a relapse. We are now 10 weeks from the onset and Kate has made a unexpectedly quick recovery. We fully believe this is due to the faithful prayers of our friends and family. Kate's strong-willed and independent spirit didn't hinder her either ;). She has not spent even 1 day in physical therapy. Now she is back to running, jumping and climbing, along with bossing around Jacob, coloring on our walls and sharing her unsolicited opinion on life (and blogging, of course!). We continue to trust God for Kate's health and will update you on any changes. Feel free to ask further questions in the comment section of the blog.
